1. Overview

Aegistack is a local-first desktop application. This means your project data — test cases, requirements, execution results, and project configuration — is stored exclusively on your own machine. Aegisol Company Limited (“we”, “our”, “us”) does not host, access, or process your project content on our servers.

2. What data we collect

2.1 Account data

When you create an Aegistack account, we collect your name and email address for authentication and license management. This data is stored securely and is never sold to third parties.

2.2 Usage analytics

We collect anonymized, aggregated usage metrics (e.g., feature adoption rates, crash reports) to improve the product. These events contain no personally identifiable information and no project content. You may opt out of analytics in the application settings.

Your AI API keys (BYOK keys are stored locally and never transmitted to our servers)

3. AI provider data handling

Aegistack supports Bring Your Own Key (BYOK). When you provide your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google API key, requests to those AI providers are made directly from your machine to the provider's API. Your API key and the content of AI requests are never routed through our servers. Please review the privacy policy of your chosen AI provider for their data handling practices.

If you use Aegistack's managed AI credits (non-BYOK), content sent to AI models is processed in accordance with our AI provider agreements, which include data processing addendums prohibiting use of your content for model training.

4. Data storage and security

Your local project database is stored in your application data directory and is never synchronized to our cloud without your explicit action. Account credentials are stored using industry-standard encryption. We use TLS 1.2+ for all communications between the desktop app and our licensing servers.

5. Third-party integrations

When you connect Jira, Confluence, or other third-party services, Aegistack stores OAuth tokens locally on your machine to enable sync. We do not store your integration credentials on our servers. Data imported from these integrations remains local.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction or deletion of your account data
Opt out of usage analytics
Export your local project data at any time (it's yours — it's on your machine)

7. Cookies and website analytics

Our marketing website (aegistack.com) uses minimal analytics to understand visitor behavior. No cross-site tracking cookies are used. We do not use advertising networks.

8. Changes to this policy

We will notify registered users of material changes to this policy via email. Continued use of Aegistack after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
